Cool Cats are searching for a new CEO. That was quick. Chris Hassett joined in January this year, and the community started making memes on “who is Chris?” since no one had ever heard of him. He stepped down, and the hunt begins again. CAA global talent agency that signed with Cool Cats a month ago, is now helping with the partnerships. Also, one of the Cool Cats community members, SighDuck, nominated himself, saying he is the right one. Wild times in Cooltopia.
Moonbirds revealed more about the nesting. Nesting is a unique type of staking when the Moonbird changes rarity over time and theoretically becomes more valuable. Some of the community members expected the rarity would reset each time the bird is sold so that everyone can see who is a true hodler, but Kevin Rose decided not to use it this way. Instead, long-term holders will accrue rewards and unlock additional benefits, including more tokens, when Moonbirds launch a coin. The current floor is 29.5 ETH.
Beeple believes the next era of NFTs will focus on emotional connection and utility. It's been over 6 months since Beeple sold his Human One sculpture at Christie's for $28.9 million. The sculpture has been evolving over time and is now in a museum in Italy. Beeple thinks NFTs will become canvases that can be a living, breathing document that changes over time. It will be exciting to watch what else the NFT technology allows.
